Spank it.
I have a "cat problem"
In the bathroom.
When we moved in here there was a vague cat-wee smell in the hall. I have scrubbed and re-scrubbed the carpet and there is always shake-and-vac (how cool and yet horribly annoying is that advert?!) on the carpet. The smell in the hall is now gone, thankfully.
However, in the bathroom there began a smell. Which on investigation was recient cat-wee. I knew which one of the little 'darlings' it was and yesterday I caught her in the squatting position so I spanked her much to her disbelief, I have never done that before, its more a mutual big-love thing going on, but I cannot and will not have a cat turning my house into a litter tray. (obviously now I shall find a turd on my bed somewhere, but that will be a future posting!)
Today I pulled up the carpet. No carpet, no weeing (well thats the plan anyway...well the human plan, I cant talk for the incontinant cat)
I really hope this works. I really love my cat, but this is discusting. I have recieved various good advice from lots of people about this and am going to follow all of it.
I would think that within a couple of days the smell will be gone and with the advice I have been given it will never return.
Fingers crossed!
