Xmas/New year.
My Christmas and New Year was full of family. Family that are geneticaly mine, and chosen to be mine.
~On Christmas eve I went to Mumbly and Grampy Johns and peeled sprouts for lunch the next day. We had the best sort of Christmas. Visiting my twin and his lovely wife for coffee....as it was an 'in-law' Christmas for them, and then returning to eat too much and open an enormous amount of presents. Lunch for 11 with a beautifully decorated table and fantastic food was utterly lovely. It felt right.
I did a dash to the 1950's in between Christmas and New Year, which despite a false start (will post in fuller detail later!!) was, as always, perfect. Lovely Husband looked less shell shocked this time, and even admitted...while terribly drunk...that he loved me a little....so clearly I have worn him down!!! (I *knew* he would come round in the end!!) She is everything is always is, and I returned feeling more myself.
New Year was spent with E.J. and Lovely Viv, Viv's children, Viv's parents, Small and Gill. We went (and I have to admit it was with some dread) to a party organised by a friend of Viv's. It rocked!!!! Picture a school hall filled with people that know and love each other...loads of kids running around and cheesy music....now...hang on, I know that for some it would be the worst thing in the world, but it really wasnt...well not after quite alot of vodka!!!
Time with E.J. and Lovely Viv is always fantastic, Viv's kids are brillant and I love them. Viv's Dad has had some serious health problems this year...which are continuing into 2 double 07, but to see him dancing with his grandchildren with a huge proud smile on his face made me cry. He is a good man.
And at midnight I had the most important person in the world to hug and say "HAPPY New Year" too.
She and I both cried and hugged each other really tight and didnt let go for a while.
I am so proud of her. Her Achievements and Bravery this year. She has blown me away with her capacity to deal with all the year has thrown at her.
Well done my darling. I love you.
