Inside Story
You know what was really really odd on a couple of occations over last weekend?
I was IN someones blog. Actually IN it.
We read the blog, and because it is photographed and described so well we can picture to some degree what is in front of us. I have to tell you that actully seeing it, and doing it, and being in it is really terribly odd.
I could not remember Lovely-husband. There said it! But as soon as I saw him I realised that I would have picked him out of a line up of 100 men. He and oldest friend 'fit' together.
Spending time with him was a joy. He is very good company. Gentle and strong in equal measure. He is funny and thoughtful and kind, but with an edge that makes you feel like a woman (!)
Sharing the weekend with them both on their island seeing for real what I had only seen before on the blog in photographic form and going places that had previously been described to me was well, like being in a story..... that you had read as a child.
I commented on this on 'a couple' of times , well, maybe alot while drunk on friday! but the thought came back to me a dozen times a day (ok, prolly went on about it all weekend!!)
It wasnt something I was uncomfortable with. It was just something that I hadnt experianced before. And thinking about it now, from the sofa while writing this, actually I liked it. It was like 'The Secret Garden' where you have to go through a secret gate to get into a magical world that you really want to know about.
I am already thinking about the next time I can go. Hopefully with Small, who would love it too.
lybxx
