Bugs
I think there are some particualy nasty, very clingy bugs around.
I know no end of people that are poorly, and have been poorly for what seems like ages...and thats just to me, the healthy one, for them it must seem much longer!!
Small was a bit poorly at the beginning of last week. I am sympathetic but unless you have a temperature or are actually being violently sick then I give her calpol and a cuddle and the message is ever so slightly 'I'm sorry your poorly, but get on with it'.
On wednesday she became more poorly. She did have a temperature and was all glassy eyed and tearful.
Thursday and Friday mornings were lovely!!....when we woke up and checked the patient, who was undoubtably still had a temp. and was still feeling very sorry for herself, Calpol was given and then we both went back to sleep!
She had the miracle recovery on saturday....... so she could go to a Brownie Sleepover.....which was a huge mistake. Not that she didnt enjoy herself, she did, they had a fantastic time, but the lateness of going to bed meant that she relapsed and had to have monday off school again. I dont regret her going to the sleepover, to be honest I thought she was well enough to be there, but you live and learn!
Tuesday she went to school, but returned home looking awful! She has gone again today and actually looks much better. She only has to get to Friday as then the Easter Holidays start and she has a couple of weeks to really recover.
The Bug that Small has, and the poorlyness that other people have experianced are not giving in easily. It makes me all O.C.D. about it. I have this theory you see, that if you dont have a harsh enough winter and enough time with the temperature below freezing then the bugs dont die, and they mutate and become super-bugs that take much more time to recover from.
And as we have had the 'warmest winter on record' it hasnt been cold enough for the germy bugs to die.
