Racism v Stupidity.

I have been watching Big Brother. .... as previously stated its not for the celebrity thing, its for the social experiment thing. Putting people together into a controlled enviroment and watching what makes people tick.

This year it has been 'car crash T.V.' There has been serious aligations of racism within the arguments that have happened within the house.

I will not condone racism. It is one of the things that I wont compromise on, or be around. However, despite this statement, is it allowed if you dont know your doing it?
Is stupidity a get out clause of being racist or saying thing with a racist overtone?

I dont think so. And although the people concerned have completely denied anything that they said being anything like racism, some of it has made me cringe.

Having said that, the other side of the argument is that political correctness has taken over our lives. Comments towards the person that some have thought as racist have been made against others and nobody has turned a hair. Completely the same comment....to one person its racist...to another its not.


Perhaps its because I can see the difference in the comments and who you can say them too and who you cant...as can a great majority of the population.....that Big Brother has become again a huge talking point with money being pulled out of the program via sponsership, and products associated with the contestants being taken off shelves.

Is it political correctness gone mad, racism or stupidity????
