Small Losses.

We have had two little sad things happen this week. Two of our guinea pigs have died.

One was a unexpected, and one was the old lady, she had gotton progressively thinner and wasnt moving about so much, so it wasnt a suprise that I went out today and found her.

Because G.P's are group animals and dont do so well on their own I have found two new friends for the remaining pig. They are very frightened and scurry about when ever I have appeared, hiding with their heads down (so I cant see them!) and only coming out for food when they are sure I am not there.

They will be grand. In a week or so they will be braver and more friendly and we can get to know them.


...its sad though. I know they are only guinea pigs but we love them. We are greeted by them every morning with loud squeaks and chuntering and when they are in the run they are really cute and Small spends alot of time playing with them (with Stinky's help)
The two new ones which have yet to be named (heaven help them!) will soon be doing the squeeking and chuntering and all will be as usual.
