Bassetty Joy

This morning when I went downstairs to feed Stinky I could hear her, as always 'willing' me to go faster.

Her morning routine is done in double quick time (its the only time she moves fast) She goes out, she comes back in, eats so fast she burbs (niiiccceeee) and goes back out again before starting one of her many daily naps.

Not this morning.

As I opened the door I said "Look Stinky.....SNOW"

She looked up at me with an expression that could only be described as joy.

She loves loves loves snow.

She Bounded......bounded outside.

Rolling over and over making deep growly contented snow loving noises.
She dropped to her knees and pushing herself round with her back feet made heaps of snow twisting her face so that she resembled a snow Bassett.
She then 'hooffed' it into the air with her nose.

If Bassetts can grin (and I know that they can) her face was splitting.

She then trotted back in to eat her breakfast with a smug happy wiggle. I love watching her when the first snow happens each year. I forget the simple pleasure that it brings.

lybxx
